right now am at work and am listening to a terrific CD called "Sounds Eclectic" issued by KCRW, a public radio station in Los Angeles. all the songs on it were performed acoustically in-studio by various artists. it includes Neil singing a lovely version of Throw Your Arms Around Me. the KCRW website (kcrw.org) has lots of in-studios archived. I recently found one from a couple of years ago that includes Neil performing an absolutely beautiful cover of Dave Dobbyn's Whaling. I have been listening to that one each day since I found it - it's good for the soul!

last night at home I was listening to Elliott Smith's XO album. I think Waltz #2 is an amazing song.
Right now Ray LaMontagne's new album called "Trouble". Good stuff, although it was hard to find in Atlanta. You can listen to the title track and a couple others here - http://www.raylamontagne.com/listen.php

Also listening to one of my closest friends from Philly, and his band (Miralles) who just released their 2nd cd called "Climb". If you want to hear some of it and/or buy a copy, check out this site - http://cdbaby.com/cd/miralles2

Their first cd is good too, and is here http://cdbaby.com/cd/miralles That one is also available on iTunes (under Miralles). I imagine the 2nd cd will be available on iTunes shortly as well.

Enjoy!
Joseph Arthur - 'Redemption's Son'

I bought this a couple of years ago when it came out, but for some reason never gave it a proper listen, even though I loved what I'd heard from him previously.

Some amazing stuff on here.

I bought his latest this week, and have yet to listen to it...but I've read great things about it and am quite looking forward to it.

Yeah, it's a great song. I listened to another song of theirs today that I'd put on a mix CD recently..."The Other Side Of Life". That's a really cool one, too-love the music in that one. That seems to be a frequent thing with the Moody Blues, at least from all the songs I've heard by them thus far-they always have some really neat, pretty music in their songs. I like that Smiler .

Anywho, listening to "The Politics Of Dancing" by Re-Flex.

LOL, oh, yeah? Judging from the title, I think I may have an idea of what you mean by "rude"... Razzer .

Anywho, I'm listening to "Cuts You Up" by Peter Murphy right now. I like this song-I like the music, and I like the way he sings the song.
