Probably the most unique was a signed golf bag by Neil, Nick and Paul. Neil had signed and written “Fore!” above his name and Paul had drawn his picture of a house with three heads coming out of it above his.

The story goes that they wanted to play a round of golf in NZ and somebody lent them their bag, and they returned it she asked if they would sign it on the main pocket. It looks like it was the late 80s (based on the golf club membership tags still on the bag!). She kept it for years but was just taking up space so sold it on Trade Me (NZs eBay). I picked it up for next to nothing. I kept the bag for a bit, then decided to just cut the signed pocket out and dispose of the bag (which was in pretty bad shape!). So certainly a one of a kind! One day I’ll get around to putting it in a frame or something...

I also have a signed Paul drum skin from the 1988 NZ Summer tour. Again Paul also added the picture of the house with 3 heads and wrote “the best yet” and “Liyoodee” (no idea what that means!) next to it. Then he wrote “‘Roks &Hessy Prod’ Trade Mark Reg Mombasa” above it. I’ve got that one framed and on the wall!

For me the ultimate item is my own Neil TV interview, done in 1998 in Munich. I had convinced the editors at a local TV station to cover the concert, so a camera guy and me got the AAA passes and hung around the venue pre-soundcheck before Neil took time to kindly answer my questions. I never told him I was a fan, but I‘m pretty sure that occasionally he must have thought „the questions from this guy are a bit more in-depth than the ones I usually get“.
