Hi all,

I'm looking to fast track some of the redevelopment of Frenz.com and so I'm posting to you guys to see if there's anyone out there who can help. Frenz.com is getting it's first major facelift and feature-lift in nearly a decade. Our aim is to make it a relevant, consistently updated and easy to update site that provides a real service and a "hub" to the Frenz community, and for the artists it covers.

Apart from the overhaul of the main site - We have a number of projects in the pipeline that we want to get done, but there's a lot of manual work that needs to go in before we can get it all off the ground. We've been working at building the site into something that can expand with time and ideas. It's not been the lack of ideas or direction which has slowed us down, it's the time consuming hand coding-ness, combined with trying to work with a site written in the late 90's.

We're looking for volunteers to help out as follows:

  • People who can hand code HTML and CSS to a proficient to advanced level

  • People with understanding and knowledge of PHP to a comfortable to proficient level, and who can hand code

  • People with a working knowledge, understanding and ability to work with the WordPress platform

We're hoping that somewhere amongst the Frenz community, there's a few professional coders or people working in Web Development who have the time to get on board, and help us lift it out of the dark ages.

The payment for this role is the gratitude of your fellow Frenz.

There will be a specific "credits" page, linked prominently on the home page where we will mention you by full name (or pseudonym if you prefer), the areas of the site you worked on - Include a pic of you if you like, and a link to your business website / blog (So long as it's friendly for all ages / not offensive) or e-Lance profile.

If you're interested, please PM me or email me at iarla (at) frenz . com
