I enjoy playing them so much, and am wondering how many of you actually own turntables and play records.
(I just realized that this poll probably does not belong here, so feel free to move it to All I Ask. Sorry

Some bands still release their albums on vinyl, mainly for collectors. Would you believe there is a record store near me that has Frenzy and See ya Around on vinyl. Im not sure if they're NZ/Australian or U.S pressings but if you want here's the link to the Enz Stuff from the record store. http://www.realgroovy.co.nz/index.asp?c=search&p=1&stype=artistid&id=72quote:Originally posted by stepinmyshoes:
[qb]another good question would be whether you still buy things on vinyl (new stuff as well as old/used stuff).
i'm currently trying to get the whole enz catalog on vinyl; still looking for those elusive Frenzy's and See ya Round's that are hiding in some used record shop somewhere.[/qb]
As a child of the seventies and eighties, I have to admit... the only way I HAVE the entire Enz catalogue, is on vinylquote:Originally posted by stepinmyshoes:

Indie bands tend to release singles and albums on vinyl as its in keeping with the style of music and attitude and stuff. Bring on The Ideal Height 7inch on March 24!quote:Originally posted by Melmo:

And you would SO DROOL over my record collection... CH vinyl singles, etc... heh, one of the "advantages" of being old(er)?...
My CD (Mushroom classics) says "(P) 1983" and 1984, so I guess you're right, but I think it was released in 1984 (I think that's what it means, not sure). Thanks for letting me know.quote:Originally posted by kia kaha:
[qb]Secret God, I think you'll find that "Escapade" is 1983, not 1984. Just a tip from someone who was alive when it was released[/qb]
Yeah, you're making me jealous!quote:Originally posted by kia kaha:
