When the gig was announced, it was supposed to go ahead in July 2020. On the day the tickets were released, which was 27th February 2020 at noon, I was there, on my phone, taking a break from work, purposely to get good tickets. I was delighted when I confirmed 2 seats in Row 2. We'd seen the band many times in Dublin and this was gonna be our first time seeing them in a different country. So that was gonna be exciting.

Then COVID happened, and the gig was postponed until July 2021. COVID continued and the gig was once again rescheduled for July 2022. With both of these postponements, I was 100% happy and satisfied to keep my tickets for the show. I had received messages on both occasions telling me that I could cancel the tickets for a refund or keep them for the seats I purchased on the new date.

Then, a week or two ago, I received a message to my gmail telling me that I had been reimbursed the cost of the tickets and that I could still buy the tickets again at the link which had been sent to me in a previous email. I didn't have that previous email. Or at least, I couldn't find it.

Eventually, I checked my promotions folder, which I only rarely look in, and there was an email there, from a couple of days previous explaining that the venue of the show had changed its seating layout and as a result, anyone who had purchased a seat would have to accept being reimbursed and had the option to buy again at the following link. This issue would not affect people who had bought standing tickets.

I clicked the link, and was hugely disappointed to find that there were no longer any seats together for the first 13 rows. My wife is not blessed with height, and that was the very reason we chose seats and not standing and the very reason I was ready to buy early, the moment the tickets were released almost 2 years ago now. To make matters worse, even if I had decided that this was fair, (which I didn't and it isn't) I noticed that at that point, the refund had not actually appeared in my account and I had no intentions of spending another 110 Euros on two more tickets until such times as the cancelled ones were refunded. That refund eventually arrived 2 days ago.

All in all, I have decided not to buy these tickets again, mainly because I couldn't get the same seats and my wife would have a crap view, but also because the company that screwed me on this have acted in a completely unprofessional manner and I don't feel like I can trust them. entradas.com for anyone who is interested. I am not 100% sure what I hope to achieve by posting this here, but even if it registers with some other fans of the band who are based in Spain, or others that had been planning to travel to Madrid for the show, then maybe they could mention their experience with entradas on this matter too. Anyway, that is my story.    Gutted isn't the word.
