As I'm sure all of you have been gnawing your toes off waiting for this, I have postponed some truly urgent work (such as tidying up the place) and built the Crowded House Repertoire Key/Mixtape Guide ("CHRKMG" for short)!

Everyone looking for a nice method to create harmonious flow in your next mix tape to listen to in your car or for that friend you wanted to become an addict fast, surf over to Finnatics, never mind the German language and download the PDF file! Have fun, and drop a line here, if you have comments or suggestions!

I just had a look. That is AWESOME!!!!! I've never seen anything like this. I just happen to be making a cd for a friend who likes CH but doesn't know much about them. Great tips on how to make better mix cd's. Thanks a lot!!!
I would be interested in knowning how frequently the Crowded House albums themselves follow this Key chart.

Also, you said to follow songs with tempos faster than the song before it. So what's the rule for going from a fast song to a slow?

This is neat!

Well, check it out - take your CDs and the guide and you should know in no time!

Rather straight. They work the best the bigger the difference in BPM is; mainly because you can chill out after a few hot tunes. So "Fame Is" is very well followed by "Into Temptation"; and segueing "Four Seasons" into "Tall Trees" or "Locked Out" works well, too.
I've had this (and the Neil/Finn Brothers one) for months now and I love them...you can't go wrong!

Now the big question...is there going to be a Tim one?

See the respective thread in the Tim forum...

BTW: Finnatics (see link above) now hosts V.2 of the Guide (including the "Time On Earth" songs)!
