Holy !
It's 4:30 am and looking for a place to plunk my 200th post (I know I am a freak of nature). Well I couldn't find a better spot than right here! You have inspired me to create the mother of all Neil Finn mixes Mister Dorthonion!! Big Grin You're a genius!

ooooohhh at last some relief for my toenails...
In the end I followed your guide very closely Dorthonian. I only made a few last minute changes in order to satisfy my ears. A large chunk of TWT songs because i would have it no other way. I was having some trouble finding a spot for "She Will Have Her Way"; ended up throwing it into the mix randomly (it's my favourite NF song from any context). I also peppered the mix with some Crowded House.

So here is my "Mother Of All Neil Finn" mixes:

1. LAST ONE STANDING
2. DISEMBODIED VOICES
3. I AM IN LOVE
4. SECRET GOD
5. FALL AT YOUR FEET
6. SINNER
7. HOLE IN THE ICE
8. WALKING ON THE SPOT
9. FASTER THAN LIGHT
10.LOVE IS ALL THAT REMAINS
11.KING TIDE
12.LAST TO KNOW
13.SHE WILL HAVE HER WAY
14.ANGELS HEAP
15.ADDICTED

thanks again! fun times!

Some geeky, minor (pun intended) criticism...I think many theorists would argue that songs with the same tonic are "compatible," regardless of mode. Meaning, a song in B major could be happily followed by a song in B minor, or vice versa. If it were my guide, I'd put the parallel major/minor mode in the "compatible" columns.

And while this guide is a cool tool that surely is capable of good results...sometimes you gotta break the rules, right? Sometimes songs will sequence well with no regard to their key. Just sayin'.
