"Cunning as a conman, shrewd as a lyre, I went weak in the knees, the first time I saw ya..."

There was a time I could quote that song word for word. (Okay the last year of high school and the first year of university are strange times for a lot of us - surely you'd agree Phil?) Although, Jezno, I always thought Mental Notes was the superior album... "Under the Wheel" and "Titus" still make appearances on compilation tapes of mine, in between Janes Addiction and Jeff Buckley tracks... people say I'm strange but I prefer to quote the opening lines of "Amy" (who, incidentally Phil, would be about the age of the gal running this site, and myself, and a lot of others besides...)

"Flowers grow wild in her garden
She's got style - I beg your pardon" Big Grin
Reflections of an antiquated era!!!
Juzz wish I had a scanner...I feel left out!

Some 'private asides' should remain so, Deb.

By the way....I also loved 'Mental Notes'.
Legendary stuff!!!! Changed the way I viewed the world....and songwriting.
Second Thoughts was a great follow on and aptly named.
So Phil, do you envisage hitting the boards again?
Maybe touring Duxville? (Couldn't resist that one) Don't deprive the world of a 'live appearance'.....your fans want to see U!!!!!

I can dig that, Jez, but if you look at Phil's history of forum honesty, I figured I could at least ask.

Besides, if you're looking to keep something private, talk to the Juddster! He's the one that's making our imaginations run wild by posting an image called "slut" seemingly in your honour. I'd say that he should either keep that sort of stuff off the forum... or fill us all in!!! Smiler

Cheers,
Deb
FWM, It's true - in Oz, if you were to call Phil a 'hopeless bastard' you would in fact be saying something similar to "you're a great person and I love you". Not sure if this works in reverse with compliments... are they actually insults?

This 'aggression' is how we Aussies show our affection. A punch in the stomach between mates is the equivalent to the French kissing eachother on the cheek.
Yeah I'm lost. I know New Yorkers aren't known for sincerity, but I'd be the exception. I say everything I mean without hidden meanings and 99% of the time without sarcasm. So all cultures and societies aside, including my local one, I tend to take everyone at face value unless it's REALLY obvious that they're joking or sarcastic. Which means most people don't take ME at face value since they assume I must be as full of crap as they are. Smiler

Phil seems to get a bit mad at the odd person, so I thought this was just another of those.

Oh well. Back to the love-fest!

Deb
Awwwwwww, no, of course I know who Heidi Klum is, actually she comes from Bergisch Gladbach which is only about 25min from here - I even know the sister of her former best friend - ha (and the father whose sister's father has been the friend of her nieces....)

I was only trying to find out in an unsuspicious way, what you were trying to tell me by saying
quote:
haben Sie Zahl Heidi Klums?

Big Grin Sorry, makes no real sense

It doesn't even make sense whenI translate it back to english.

Well someone sure was laughin' all the way to de bank...and it wasn't the band...or should I say .....the composer, unfortunately.
Such is the state of affairs in the industry

Frowner art has always been exploited by the money managers......."Time for a Change"
Now that was a good song!" albeit about 20 years since I've heard it....it still lurks on the brainz Big Grin

Miraz the Jezter walks into town
Some comments might normally be taken with a frown
But the intrigue is there
And the humour unique
The detail comment nearly made me shreak

The fingers on pulses are starting to slip
Jezno is everywhere, this must be his trip
We're not that anal my friend - it's the tunes for us ok ?
They're always good to bring a smile to the day

So if you've worked with the man and are sitting on stuff
Show the money and continue your guff
Coz it makes me grin and it's helped with a beer
There is often a touch of paranoia 'round here

I was going to ask a simple "who are you?" but I like this much better! Big Grin
Aw poo I'd been hoping that graphic would not have ended up here. Despite the image of Phil's bum having previously turned up, I am trying to keep this a clean place. I do NOT have the COPPA aspect of the forum turned on, which technically/legally means I'm saying this board is OK for anyone, including minors. So if anyone wonders why I TRY (and not always succeed) on cleaning up language and the like, it's because of that. If you want this board to check if you're an adult, get adult permission if you're not, and so on, I can turn that on and make the board "adults only"... but I really would prefer that this board be OK for everyone of all ages without me getting into legal hot water over the content (should that ever come to pass).

Just a request!

Thanks,
Deb
Eeker DEB: SORRY.....Did the 'MALEBRAIN'
graphic appear somewhere? Didn't mean to muck up your policies....I'll keep that in mind...for future reference. I'm not that experienced at this stuff! Sooooo....who sent it in???

Just get that whip out and keep us in check!!! Roll Eyes Wink Big Grin

Jackie: Was it U? Thought you'd like it!

BITZ No, I haven't worked with the 'MASTER'
I juz like playing with words.......
I'm a 'SOLO' act......in search of collaborators!

Have a beer on me
Cheers Jezno Big Grin Wink
