Penny I think i ducked too when the camera swung round on me in the audience. How embarassing is that with a camera 2 foot away from your face !!!! Yuikkkkkkkkkkk

Was that when I was standing on my chair? Or was I standing on my chair when Liam was next to us with his camera taking pics and video of the crowd? Big Grin

Aww, thanks MagBolt, that's very kind of you.
Hope you have a great show tonight!

Rock & Roll!Cool
Patience girls, patience!!
We really don't have access to a computer, except for a few minutes here and there. Once we get home, we'll tell you all about it. (Well, most of it anyway Wink)

Seany, I took a few pictures of the merchandise stand, like you asked, but for some reason, I can't connect my camera to the computer I'm on atm. I'll post them as soon as I get home.
Woohoo! Thanks very much MagBolt! Thats very kind of you. Ta muchly!
I guess i can wait. Frowner
Are ya home yet, are ya home yet?? Big Grin

Well, i guess that's Perth for you folks.
The only broadband over there is made of rubber, clearly. Only joking, lovely place. Smiler

So will you be staring in the Enz Live DvD Kelly? Were you cast as "girl dancing"? As you were the only one dancing? Big Grin
Smiler
Bleedin well hope not Sean. How embarassment.LMAO At least in Melbourne when I was next to Kazzie 1st night the camera was staight above our heads, so would have got a shot of my part, God forbid a had one in my hair and it wasn't foofed up.
Be good to see some footage from all the shows, especially want to see what a stomper rocket looks like, geez I hope the dvd gets out by December.
Mag and Suus hurry up.
OK, OK, here I am...
I got back at about 11 o'clock this morning, and got straight back into my 'normal' life, got the shopping, collected the kids from school, etc.
It feels weird to be back after 'touring' for just over two weeks. It's strange to think that just two days ago, I was still in Australia, and now I'm back home in London.

It really was true that we didn't have access to a computer in Perth. In Adelaide we did, but we were there for such a short time, that we hardly had a chance to use it.
Now that it's been a few days, I don't think we have that much to add to what's already been said.

I had an amazing two weeks. It was fantastic meeting up with some old friends like mrs Horse Pants, Ash1296, electric_blue, Penny and Demon In Lipstick and putting faces to the names of Eupholoofo, Kelly Timtam, hexed, Seany., Finngirl and of course, the wonderful Gryphon. Thanks guys, you helped make this trip extra special.

I'm not going to bother reviewing individual shows, I'm sure it's already been done (I haven't had time to read it all yet), and to be honest, it's hard to remember what happened at which show.

The highlight for me was The Devil You Know. I have always loved that song and was taken completely by surprise when Neil started singing it at the dress rehearsal. Just beautiful.

We were lucky enough to attend two sound checks, the one in Adelaide was an unexpected surprise and it was amazing...
I'm never any good at remembering which songs they played, so this bit's from Peter's email...

Some of the songs....Bergen -an-Zee, Amsterdam, Land of the long white cloud, Titus, Parrot Fashion Love, Log Cabin Fever, Sandy Allen, Animal Lover, Bullet Brain & Cactus Head, and several more...incredible version of Carried

There were about 20 people at the Perth sound check. Again I don't remember all the songs, but Neil asked us for a request and they played Parrot Fashion Love and Serge. Neil changed the chorus to 'Eddie's a Dancer', to which Eddie did a little dance.

Peter took us all up to the front in turn to take photographs. Most of the ones I took are quite blurry, but these two aren't too bad.

Seany. here are the Perth merchandise pix I promised you...

And a few of my best pictures of the Perth show...

Thanks MagBolt! Eeker
Great pix. They turned out just fine.
That merch looks damn fine indeed.

What? No individual show reviews? But you were at all of them!!!

Never mind, a picture tells a thousand words, & those Merch stand photos are just like the complete works of Charlie Dickens, aren't they? Smiler

I was going to say that my sister said not to drink the water in Singapore, because it gave her crypto-sparidian (sounds like something Superman would get!), but as you're home already i guess it must have been just her.

It was great to meet you too. Thanks for the reviews & photos.

Do you mean flu, or is there something wrong with your chimney that the Finns could help with? Wink

hehehe, the way Tim was dancing in Adelaide, if you ordered him as a chimney sweep, I'm sure he'd knock more than soot out. LOL (Loved the shoes, by the way!)

These Finns must have some catchy germ thing, cos I've also been sick since concert night last Wednesday too. Frowner

No she just drank the water apparently. Must have been just her. Dodgy cup perhapse.

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. Rest up, & get well soon. It could be that going from winter into summer playes havoc with your body temperature, along with jet-lag, time difference, lack of sleep, well get well soon.

Look forward to hearing your Split Enz Stories & Adventures when you're feeling better. But only when your better now.

That chimney thing has gone right over the top of my head. But i hope your chimney's ok as well. Smiler

Are you going to get that limited edition signed tour poster framed? Should look good on the wall. Cool
Here's to a speedy recovery for all those poor suffering Enz fans. This has happened before I think, perhaps not on such a large scale though...have to admit it is a bit freaky! As Seany said, it must have something to do with the climate changes or the crowd mix...perhaps?

Amazingly, I've come through this tour unscathed although the sniffles did loom large at one point. I got REALLY sick last year after Homebake though - was off work for about 3 weeks!! Wink
Demon, you're such a good friend aren't you?? Wink I've got a fever of 103, I think I'm allowed a few mistakes!! Frowner
Apologies to the frenz I emailed- I even spelled it fllue I noticed... Roll Eyes

Anyway, lets's just say wearing the snot shirt is very appropriate! Cool

Seany, I think you've found the cure: another Tour!! How about in 6 weeks or so??

Thanks for all your good wishes, also on behalf of my chimney!

And my poster will be framed, no worries!! You got one too in the end didn't you??
No, they'd all gone. Frowner
Too slow, too late. Frowner

Oh flu, i getcha. & Deamon thought you said you were sick with a flue, but you were actually sick with the Flu!

But you are actually sick with ENZ-flue-ENZA

Being the sudden shock & withdrawal brought about due to the end of live Split Enz Concerts. Oh dear!

Glad your chimney's ok.

Chim chim charoo. Smiler

(drink heated up Stones Ginger Wine, it makes everything go away, Suzanne. Not too hot else the alcohol burns off, and only two glasses else you get a rotten hangover. Hope you get better real soon)

Aw, sorry Seany. I didn't get one either. We were both looking at them and trying to decide at the same time I think. I also waited to long. Frowner

I hope you feel better soon Suzanne! I'm not sick, but I tore my meniscus (knee injury) doing climbing in New Zealand. Roll Eyes So, I'm hobbling around. I guess we all just went all out on this trip and it did us in!

Thanks for the pics, Mag. It was great to meet all of you. So nice to put a face to the names. Smiler

Tracy
It was great to meet you too Tracy. Take it easy on that knee. That does not sound very nice at all. Ouch! Frowner
I hope you weren't attempting to climb Mount Doom? Big Grin

Yes, missed opportunities. I was mesmerised by the selection at the Merch Stand, that i just thought, i'll get some things now, & maybe come back later for a programme, & the poster.

But, the Precious had all sold out.
Cest La Voi. Smiler
Mm, I'm starting to wonder if I wasn't the vector for all these post-Enz illnesses, I had the worst cold before I came over (courtesy of my work mates, and it lasts about a month.) I was still snivelling and doing the seal cough while there. So maybe it's some weird American germ warfare thing. In which case I apologise.
