Looks just great. Really liking the Ricky too. What amp do you play them through? Am thinking of upgrading my Marshall Valvestate to a Vox AC30 quite soon...
quote:That Freeze pedal that Neil was using looks interesting - anyone know which songs he uses it on? I play in a three-piece and reckon it could be useful to "fill out" my guitar sound. Cheers
Fairly sure he used it playing Suffer Never at scala. The impression i get is that he was trying it out, i perhaps he thought it did "fill out" his sound while playing solo.

AC30 is on my wish list but as odd as it sounds I get everything I need in terms of sound from a fender amp.
If anyone heading off to see PajamaClub over the next couple of weeks, could maybe have a look at what neils using? maybe if you have a good position to have a look at his board? or the more obvious things like guitars, or amps, microkorg etc.
Thanks
Thanks

so hes been using two fender pro juniors with pajama club, and his tweed amp he has at the ch shows is a 58 deluxe, the gretsch is a 58 also

Here's Neil's pedals from the Borderline gig.

- thanks for posting that, part-time 'anytime' piano-player!
Would love to know how they recreated Sean's vocal @ end of TNT for 2 so well, wasn't just Neil/Sean's harmony was it....and was it something from this pedal board which contributed to the effect?

She did her best, Sam, leaning right over the stage at full stretch, aiming the camera and hoping. Short of climbing up on stage (and a possible eviction) that was the best it got

Yesss! PJC will be in ireland in september!

Hi there,
Just wondering if anybody would be able to offer a little more info on Neil's Maton acoustic.
I know it's a Custom EGB808. I'm trying to decide which is the closest looking standard-issue Maton. The 'Artist' model seems too light in colour. Would the EGB808L be a closer comparison?
Thanks in advance.
By the way, that's a great shot of the pdeal board!

In terms of features, Matons standard artist model is closer, in terms of sound. The artist models have small microphones just inside the soundhole aswel as a pickup, althought some of neils older models wouldnt have the microphone feature. The model hes using here is his most recent one from maton i believe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cy3lzKykXkc
The 808L is a laminated finish, but i believe neils artist is a different finish of that to the standard artists. Not by colour but what its covered in. Maton would happily re create neils acoustic for you if you wish, just mail them.
Hope this helps
