For those hoping for another guitar album from Neil ...
Neil Finn Wants To Write Guitar Songs Next ...
I couldn't find a date for that article but it appears to precede the release of Lightsleeper and, possibly, Neil's decision to join Fleetwood Mac. So perhaps that notion has been somewhat sideswiped.

Not quite, this was from right around the release of Lightsleeper (at which point the FM tour had already been announced, and it's referenced in the article).
Having said that, I agree that the article isn't necessarily a harbinger of anything. A year on the road with FM (with a few Lightsleeper dates in the middle) will have an impact on what he decides to do next. But I still hope it's a guitar album.
I reckon that idea still stands. I just hope he won't spend all of his guitar inspiration on just a Fleetwood Mac album (should that actually happen).

OK, but the interview may have taken place well before the article was published. In fact, the album was originally slated for much earlier in the year, so it's possible that the interview took place before everything went FM. Just offering a word of caution to those who may get overly optimistic.
Remember that Neil has subsequently made several public comments regarding his commitment to FM now.
I hope his "guitar" songs form the basis of the next crowded house album I miss that type of Neil Finn music ....
