I have a slight problem when it comes to buying cd's. Smiler
and this is just the list off media player, there's more that i just haven't gotten around to putting on my computer.
Bwahahaha! I finally figured out a way to consolidate this from my iTunes list. Stand back and cower in awe! (And this doesn't include any of my jazz or classical collection.) ((Of course, some of these are cheats, they're from compilations and/or they're different incarnations of the same artist, but I'm too lazy to edit.))

There are probably some I've forgotten or names I've spelled wrong, but that should do it.
Somewhere, deep inside, there's a librarian in me. She loves keeping lists and catalogging items. I started keeping a list of my CDs years ago and I've managed to stay pretty disciplined with it and add new arrivals as soon as I get them.

On vinyl (that I don't have on cd or cassetts) are quite a lot of techno/house, various DJ's.

Yes, I have very eclectic (and sometimes strange) tastes but I'm not ashamed of any of it, even if some is dated Big Grin
Here is a list of artists that I have full length albums of. A small few are on tape and someday they will be converted to CD! I didnt include soundtracks or compilations. Oh and I love world music but I seem to have most on compilations. Respect to hexed - I want your CD collection! Smiler

Dead or Alive

there are a few missing
That reminds me, I was only thinking of my english language music, but I also have Arabic, Latin, & Asian, as well as big band & swing, classical, and ambient. This along with all that stuff from the 80's, lots of gay disco, echo & the bunnymen/souxsie/magazine/joy division kinda stuff, and yes, RAP.

two i want to mention in particular, because if you know them, you'll know them instantly are:

Mana
Amr Diab

I suspect a lot of people here probably have very diverse tastes. Or maybe i'm just crazy. *grin*
quote:

I think my tastes are diverse, but not as diverse as yours Z... I tend to get really specific with my African preferences (Mali/Senegal and South African Township Jive) and my Latin preferences (Cuban Son and Afro-Cuban)... but they are very important to me. I also tend to be kind of eccentric and fickle and sometimes pop music that "should" be something I would like (because everyone who likes so-and-so likes it) leaves me flat. I'm stubborn.
Oh man, double-H, I wish you were close by so we could just meet up with sammiches at the park and share music. I would love to learn more about what you're into, 'cause it sounds like something I'd really like.

Some turkey & avo with sprouts on buttery croissants with a bottle of reisling, or maybe a chardonnay. I don't know much about wine and junk, but i know this is a good pairing!

COME OVER!!
