I guess the B#5/G is technically Cm(maj7)/G without the root note (C).

Hey Camus, for those of us beginner guitarists, how about a visual guide to those non-regular chords? Like what the heck is the fingering for a B#5? Happy with a standard 032010 = C type representation.

I think you are all so clever! I can't even play a recorder and it is interesting to me to read your above posts and shake my head how you all know what the hell you are talking about!! My kids have started violin and trumpet and I have no idea!!!!

Right, Camus, that's what I meant. I can't quite imagine the song entirely on guitar, that would be kind of weird.

I would love to be able to play either I can kinda play message To My Girl on the piano, but I played timpani at school and that's kinda hard to belt out an Enz song on. I'm thinking about buying a key board so perhaps I ought to learn to read music too

a timpani is a large tuned drum that's usually part of an orchestra, there are usually 4 or 5 i think in an orchestra, and they're fun to play

B#5, is to play the B# (C) chord without the '3rd'...

So a C power chord will do fine...

Uh, no. Not even I'm pedantic enough to have a B#. I mean a B major chord with a sharp 5 so it would be B D# Fx (x standing for double sharp which translates to G), or to put it a bit more simply, as Cm(maj7) B Eb G.

Guess I should have put a space between the B and the #5. I'd completely forgotten that it could be interpreted as a power chord.
