has anyone ever made him one?

i remember making him one a few months ago, but don't remember where i placed it, which is a damn shame because it was a GOOD MIX.

now i'm curious as to what he would like or not like. and i'm tempted to make him a Boards of Canada mix.

any suggestions/comments?

Yeah, a couple of colleagues and I made Neil a sort-of-Mixtape a while back while he was composing the score for "Rain." He was after a collection of hit songs from 1972. I was surprised how many tunes were familiar from that year but had totally unmemorable titles, recorded by forgotten artists.
After all that, the "Rain" music sounds somewhat dissimilar to those songs, but at the same time really fits in with the era and my childhood memories of early 70s summer holidays.
I love the soundtrack to bits, especially now that it's summer here (always happy to rub that in!) Razzer

it's summer where i am too, yknow!
i've been in victoria, aus. since mid november and plan to stay until mid january. we've been getting some much needed rain here, but the sun is just as welcome.

cheers!

The only problem is getting it to him, though. Because they don't like people sending Neil tapes or CDs. I had an address where I could send my CD where I knew he'd get, and mailed him to ask if it was ok, and then Alice (from 'the office of Neil Finn' I think) said no, please don't send CDs or tapes to Neil. I think it's because he has too much stuff sent to him anyway.

has anyone else ever had that?
i remember emailing peter once to ask if there's an address i could send the mix to

he said neil was in the process of changing addresses and i could send it then. but then i decided to just wait. i'd have more luck getting it to him in person at a show. i've met him twice (once after each show) and my friends have given him stuff, which he seems happy to receive. so i guess i'll just have to take that route then.

thanks for the input
