The Super Deluxe Edition website interviewed Jaffaman about all the work that went into getting the demos and other tracks released via the reissues.

We know all the work he puts in so it is nice to see him get the well deserved attention for sorting through everything!

And what a terrific and insightful interview. I learned all sorts of neat things! Can't believe Jaffman has been working on this project on and off for over 10 years, much of the time not knowing what the final release would look like. This article is certainly essential reading for understanding how the deluxe editions came to be and why some things were included while others were not.

It's also very clear that Jeremy wants to distance himself for any debate about compression and remastering as he had nothing to do with that part of the process and, as we know, it is a very hot topic to debate around here.

Also great to see him give some credit to the Frenz Forum. I now know that many of us here played a role in shaping these sets, even if just in small ways. It's fun knowing that the discussions we had were considered while these sets were being crafted.

What a brilliant interview.  Thank you Jaffaman for all your hard work.  Looking forward to the deluxe editions arriving even more now.

Seconded. Sincere thanks to Jaffaman for all his work on this project and his continued contributions to the discussions.

Fnatastic insight but I still would have loved the 12 inch mixes (all three of them as much as I'm aware) as bonus cuts on the deluxe issues even if Neil doesn't like them. I think the 12" of Don't Dream It's Over is great and I usually play the remix of Weather With You at the club where I DJ.

Sure, I can see wanting those. But then you look at the comments below the interview and someone says, "The lack of those 12" tracks is why I don't think this is worth my money." Really made me wince and feel for everyone involved with putting this together (esp Jaffaman) -- you didn't put the right three tracks on, so that guy's out! Tough crowd.

Considering the amount of extra material we do get I can't understand how anyone would complain but y'know, those remixes would have been nice to have as well from a compleatists point of view

Thanks Jaffaman for all efforts and hard work on this new reissues your work and energy given to this is and will be reason for our joyment in listening these rarities for years and years. Big thanks and greatfullness

Thank you, Mariola (post edited due to finger slippage!)

These are truly tremendous. Chuffed personally, thanks for your efforts. It's bringing the Something So Strong book to life, can compile an original Woodface (sort of) now.
