Going Your Way is a terrific live recording. It's been on high-rotation in my car all week. I was at the actual Opera House gig where this was recorded - and it captures the performances beautifully. Both Neil and Paul are in fine voice and the band is just perfect. Really impressed with young Elroy's drumming and Zoe Hauptmann's bass.
Anyone outside Aus/NZ who is wondering whether to buy an import copy of this - I say go for it - you will not be dissapointed.
I agree, It is definitely worth buying. I have only listened to CD one so far and my one disappointment is that the banter has been edited, but it is definitely a collectable and at JB Hi Fi this afternoon it was number 2 best seller.
New at No.5 is “Goin’ Your Way” for Neil Finn and Paul Kelly, which becomes Neil’s third solo Top 10 entry and Paul’s fifth, whilst it’s also Paul’s second highest charting album after “Songs from the South: Greatest Hits”, which spent four weeks at No.2 from June 1997.

Yep, we know what you’re thinking. We don’t feel right calling Neil Finn an Australian, but it feels a hell of a lot better than calling Paul Kelly un-Australian, don’t you reckon? These shows were magical; so many amazing hits, two incredibly charming performers, a band with a family feel and just a genuinely unpretentious evening of some of the best music that has ever come out of our part of the world.
