Hehehehe....my question EXACTLY, pharmgirl!! I eventually came to the conclusion that all the castaways developed a deep psychological affinity for the island, and hence (unwittingly) sabotaged all rescue attempts. My hypothesis was validated in later TV specials where they all admitted to missing the island! I KNEW it!!

My job is: i'm a student, and i've nearly finished my A levels, but i work part time at Asda (wow).
The best thing about it is: errm, nothing. it sucks.
The worst about it is: the customers. there are some spectacularly thick people who don't seem to have any intelligence and/or grasp of the English language
If I didn't do the work I do, I'd would be a: oh, don't ask me that! i have no idea. i've got as far as deciding to study for a history degree, but i have no idea what to do once i've finished uni

My best non-Finn moment was: when i made it to our camp-site half way up mountain in Bolivia, despite the altitude (we got to nearly 5000 metres) and the food poisoning. that was a pretty good moment

o Country to visit: Bolivia was really good, but im planning my gap year trip at the mo and NZ, Oz and Thailand are top of the list of places to go at the mo

BoarderGurl, yes, the Professor would be a helpful companion (and I always did have a crush on him anyway!) and Awamutu, a boat would be a good thing to meet. BTW who thought getting on a boat called the SS Minnow sounded like a good idea in the first place?

My best Finn moment was: Man, I have more than my share here...but can't decide between two...singing onstage with Neil on 18/07/02 in Washington DC, and/or having one of "our songs" dedicated to us by Tim at the St. James in Auckland, on our honeymoon trip. To answer your question, Colleen, I'd like to study something I'm actually interested in...like music or acting. My education was very practical/applied, which was great for what I needed at the time (as all of my old relatives bellowed "Get a Trade!") but not much fun.

Wow Colleen......you mean I wasn't the ONLY one in the world with a crush on the Professor?? LOL I was always a science kid, so his knowledge was SO dreamy! Which leads me to....

If I was a student again I'd finish up my degree in geophysics and go on to grad school to study volcanology. I have my A.A. degree, and I've only got 2 classes left till I'm officially senior level. I even moved to this state to be closer to my favorite volcano: Mt. Rainier. But hey, LIFE keeps gettin' in the way, and now we're having a baby, so I think it'll be awhile before I can work on my dream again......

No, Gen, you are not the only one! I even had a little radio in my dollhouse that looked just like the one he was always sitting by on the show. I'm not sure what it was about his character that attracted me. He was cute and I guess I related to the rather understated quality both he and Mary Ann had (they were my favorites). Down-home kind of folk, ya know?

I had a Gilligan's Island party for my 28th birtday and went as Ginger just to spice things up (I mean it was a dress-up party!). We had two Gilligan's, one Mr. Howell, me, and three MaryAnn's (those who forgot to dress up and just said, "oh, I guess I'm MaryAnn").
