I recently purchased the book "Wings off flies" that has pictures of Crowded House and Split Enz taken by Mark Goulding and Peter Green. It was sent directly to me signed by both photographers. They were nice enough to include an old 1988 After Show Guest Card from the Crowded House Tour along with a Newsletter for the Finn Brothers (No. 60). I believe No. 61 is coming out soon. Is there a way of subscribing to this Newsletter? Having it mailed directly to me (Seattle, WA USA)?
I've been checking all over and can't seem to come across an answer. HELP...

Hurrah, another Seattle Finn fan! Welcome, dmarszalek. One of these days we'll have to try again to have a Seattle Frenz meet-up (the previous attempt didn't materialize, a casualty of several different kinds of bad luck). I'm sure we'll have one on the day of the Seattle show if not before. Looking forward to the tour?

Here's the reply to "Which of you is the better surfer?"

Neil: I would say we are both pretty useless, I don't know if Tim has done it for twenty years, I did it recently but I'm not any better off (laughs)

Tim: (laughs) I don't surf anymore, I would of years ago, but he surfs now, he has a long board, so Neil would be better now.

I thought this was a really fun newsletter-lots of really good questions from the club members and great candid replies.

And better make that two IKEAs for Vancouver. I guess we got the extra one you were supposed to get, eh Martine? Big Grin .

Peter emailed me back and said that a couple of the newsletters had gone astray. He's going to check my mailing address to see if I was one of them. In my second email, I mentioned that you two were missing newsletters as well, so he's aware. I doubt that they've all disappeared into the Void, since it seems highly coincidental. Instead, I suspect the CFIA has confiscated them for chicken flu or mad cow inspections. Razzer
We've had 6 go astray so far. With every mail out we tend to have 3 go missing... remember we are mailing 14,000! So you'd expect some human error.

Out of the 6, two were Frenz who hadn't given us their new address. We have had 12 returned from members who have forgotten to tell us they have moved...so PLEASE if you move let us know as soon as you can AND always quote your membership number.

Lifers your number is usually in brackets next to your name...or on the back right hand corner of the envelope.

With the recent terrible events in Madrid International Post is checking all parcels so mail time would be longer but I think letters take the same time as always. Seems like the missing 6 have been USA/Canada... odd.

Meanwhile feel freeto visit Peter L's house as it;s obvious he pinched them! (:

Newsletter go into the huge mailing boxes and this batch were random. That changes depending on what is happening, for example if there is some show at Tabac NZers will probably get it first with a flyer.

If people send in questions and no return postage I tend to grab their newsletters and add the extra replies- other wise we get stuck with extra postage.

Best thing to do though is to do what Martine, Val etc did and just email me and ask; include full name, address and full membership number.

We did get in some USA mail today and it took 13 days to get here so there does indeed seem to be some slowing down of overseas mail, and it might be anti terrorist stuff.... not too sure.
