Interesting seeing so much Egypt Station love, apart from Despite Repeated Warnings I found it his least enjoyable in quite a while.

The albums released this year which I've most enjoyed have been:

Lightsleeper - Neil and Liam Finn

I'll Be Your Girl - The Decemberists (I wrote a thing about this one)

Call the Comet - Johnny Marr

Honorable mention should go to 2 albums released at the end of last year but which I've played a lot this year:

Who Built the Moon - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Songs of Experience - U2

...and 2 records released in the last few years but which I only discovered this year and have played the hell out of:

We Were Wild - Esme Patterson (2016)

Split Figure - Line & Circle (2015).

There's still time for, ahem, urm, (blurts it out embarrassedly) my album to become your favourite album of 2018!

Yes, I've just released my 5th studio album. It's had a couple of spins on BBC 6 Music / couple of BBC regional stations thus far. Out now to stream / download, CD version out next month. Here's a wee taster:

Feedback gratefully accepted. Am happy to We Transfer WAV files of the tracks, artwork and lyric translations to anyone here who might be interested (PM me) . Thanks.
