Sophie-sorry I don't have a fanclub payment under that name, maybe just email me the paypal details, Are you sure you don't mean you paid for Dizzy Heights via Neil's website??? If so thats not the club presale I'm afraid.. just email me the details (peter@frenz.com). If it was membership you would of had contact details with myself.

I can look up your paid membership number if need be.. my email (peter@frenz.com)

alkady, do them seem different for everyone, and could you share yours if you've used it?

gryphon hinted in email yesterday he thought today's presale was for CD purchasers, and the fanclub on the 27th - but I didn't see any place you could buy a CD in advance for a code.

So why do I have the option to buy the CD on the ticket page?

I managed to get Tom Petty fanclub tickets by paying to join the fanclub in the ticket transaction once: this looks like similar.  It's pointless selling me a second CD if I had to buy a first one to get the pasword.

Just came off the phone with the local Ticketmaster office as the Amsterdam pre-sale didn't work. It appears there is an invalid url to the pre-sale on the webpage.

It will be corrected today so Amsterdam will be available to.

Let's hope there is no password necessary there..! SO frustrating when PG says no password is needed and Ticketmaster do ask for one...

did you log onto the acc after if you dont i dont think it gets sent

I'm sorry Alkady, I don't understand what you mean?
How do you mean log on? Where? I did receive a confirmation from peter that my preorder was received and payed.

I just tried to also order from the MusicGlue site. I don't mind ending up with two copies if that gets me access now, but I didn't receive a password after buying there..

People who pre-ordered the CD through music glue (see link above) got a password that they apparently can use today.

The fan club pre sale has been advertised as starting tomorrow, so I can only assume that by tomorrow, no passwords will be needed.

Off course it seriously sucks that there are different pre-sales and that only those that pre-ordered through music glue (who charge ridiculous shipping costs) can already order today. But that's what the whole music business is like today, so it seems. I gather we must be glad that only a Frenz subscription allows for any form of pre sale as it is.

Well I've just ordered the CD and logged into the newly-created musicglue account (though it said I was already signed up, which I didn't realise) - it sent me a new password link where bizarrely I had to put the confirmation password in before the starting password - as if I'm not confused enough already - so I now have absolutely no idea if I will get an email with the ticket password.  Alkady's message suggests I will - and yes, I am seriously late for work.

I've got so many flipping tabs open on my machine now that I can no longer cope

I think you had to order the CD before today : From the terms and conditions :

To receive access to the Neil Finn 2013 European tour pre-sale no purchase is necessary. Codes will be emailed to all purchasers of the Neil Finn album Dizzy Heights via the Neil Finn store before 5pm GMT on November 25th, 2013. Alternatively you can request pre-sale access by emailing "neilfinnpresale@gmail.com" with the subject "Pre-Sale Password Request" before12pm GMT on November 25th, 2013.

So the whole this is total nonsense - you didnt have to buy a CD !

I see the presale for Amsterdam now too. But indeed a password is needed... ;-((

This is so frustrating!

Hope PG is reading the forum as sons as he's awake and helps us out!

Yeah, I agree with joepert. I'm not going to be held to ransom by Music Glue in order to get first dibs on the tickets, it isn't how I want to purchase the record.

It's great that we can get a Frenz presale link but the commodification of music and music shows is really starting to take the edge off the whole experience for me.

Think I'll just wait for tomorrow and take my chances. I'm sure there will be tickets available on Friday is that's how it pans out.

Not the fault of Neil or Frenz - just the way the whole thing is going, sadly.

I bought the LP via Amazon, as Neil points to them as well on his site. Previously I received e-mails from Amazon if a pre-sale was held after buying a record with them.
I have to say I was not in the knowledge a pre-sale was held for record buyers at all!

Why not combine it with the fanclub pre-sale? As if fanclub members don't buy (1 or more copies of) the record? :-/

I think the whole music & ticket buying experience in general is getting v bad I wholly appreciate all what Peter does for us all his v hard work etc & this pre sale before presale is cruel & unfair in general. Peter does stellar work for us Frenz & i for one am grateful
all these buy from us / sign with us links etc & its the same with 02 they offer out presales before others  it should be one presale for true fans then general release & no third party ticket offers from the likes of get me in

Well said Alkady.  God forbid that any of this cock-up should reflect on Peter and his energy and commitment to fans.

ANDY K - lots of people say they love you but they have absolutely NO IDEA how much this work-skiving muppet loves you

Row D, centre, Bristol

Thanks Andy K for the promo code. Still couldn't get 2 seats I wanted at Birmingham - Ticketmaster seemed to be limiting me to a single seat. Got so frustrated gave up on Birmingham and got what I needed at Nottingham. See you all there in 2014!!

You may find that better tickets become available later in the week. They don't necessarily become available all at the same time. If you can't get access to a different pre-sale, try Friday morning when they go on general. You'd be surprised...

Seriously: any news yet what his touring band will be?

Joepert, I also was "impressed" by te ticket price for Amsterdam. I'm afraid though this is a very Dutch problem I experienced more often...

It's Mojo and Carré that influence the price, apart from the fee Neil's agency is charging them. If Neil plays the same week in Germany for 30  and in Belgium for €45, you are able to calculate what the "Dutch influence" is for ticket prices.

I go to concerts in Antwerp every now and then as a substitute for Rotterdam or Amsterdam. Not only better ticket prices, the audience is much more relaxed and friendly too! And it's a good excuse for a day trip. ;-)

I just paid £150 each for The Eagles and Monty Python Live tickets...

Still, £45-ish is only €55, so that does sound high.

I did pre-order the CD to get the code & then discovered I was away for those dates (gutted!) but out of curiosity logged in for tickets first thing & was offered Row D but not central...& this afternoon I was offered rear stalls CC.

Now I don't believe all the seats from A - CC have sold today for the London gig, otherwise there's going to be many disgruntled people in the fan club who really should have had first dibs.

Pre-sales are becoming a bit of a frustrating joke & I wonder sometimes if its to try & sell less popular seating areas (i.e. no central).

For instance I got tickets for Amos Lee at the same venue, pre sale offered seats in rear stalls at 10am when it opened, I rang the next day when general sale started & got central front stalls in about the 5th row.

To have some many different pre-sales each day is ridiculous & disheartening.

How a situation arose where loyal fan club members were not allowed access at the same time as those who just 'pre-ordered a cd' is very disappointing indeed.

i whole heartedly agree!!

Well a rare forum visit for me!

The presale password is the same as for Aus/US.....and therefore known amongst Frenz

for a while.

You pays your money and makes your choice.....either a Cd pre-order, or annual membership sub and get the code.

Anyway, I'm doing Birmingham, London, Cambridge, Nottingham!!!!!

At last managed to enter a password (thanks Andy)  and booked myself a second row (best available) seat for Amsterdam. Had problems with the ticket site and/or internet all day. I could see the enter code message but was not able to enter anything. Finally it did. Happy now.

btw got an email from the promotor in the Netherlands telling me about a special presale as I had purchased CH tickets with this emailadress.

Having set off for meetings at 6am today, only just had chance to try pre-sale. Ticket price rules me out of attending more than one gig unless, by some miracle, there's still some tickets left after Christmas. Can only get balcony for London, nothing for Manchester & down side for Gateshead. Will try again in the morning, by which time I may have decided which one I actually want to go to!

For tomorrows fanclub presale no password is needed.

Totally agree the whole cd thing has been a pain in the ar$e.  Just added massive workload, makes people panic and in the end the codeword can end up everywhere.

Tickets however are split down the middle so fanclub presale so seats should be as good, a lot depends on how many people bought today I guess...and some venues are more popular then others. Did I say how much I hate presales (you can guess what it's like at our end today).

No decent seats for me either. But I've got row 2 for Brussels and I'm very happy that Cologne is standing. I urge everyone to come to the Cologne show. GLORIA is our best venue. And you can do Amsterdam and Brussels on your way home. ;-)

Now I would really love to get good tickets for London and Cambridge, but I've got to attend to the fact that I have a ticket for TONIGHT but no flight to London yet... oh oh, last minute extravaganza...

Funny thing is, I'd just wanted to buy an extra pair of ticket for the Amsterdam show. Now I got the message the pre-sale has ended...

So no separate fanclub pre-sale for today. Yesterday it was the password protected sale for album-buyers; today is supposed to be a fanclub pre-sale without password and tomorrow the local promotor has an "exclusive pre-sale" for people that bought tickets for Crowded House on an earlier occasion.

Makes me curious where you will end up if you are unknown of all this bs and politely log onto the ticketmaster website on Friday morning to be "an early buyer". Must give new frustrations and disappointment by less fanatic fans...

If karma really is a force of nature, I would't want to be a promoter! :-D

I'm also in Row W and frankly I'm annoyed. I was trying yesterday to buy tickets but when I sought confirmation that there was no password I was told to wait for today - it was only in desperation that I tried my membership number and it worked, so don't know if it was blind luck or whether anything typed in (rather than left blank) would've worked.

Guess it can be helped now. Maybe I'll have better luck if Neil decides to tour here again in 3 years time.

Mmm, I could be wrong but from trying this morning for London whilst password protected and then right on the button when it transferred to the no password pre-sale it seems the seats were the same allocation as they ran on from there. Not two separate pre-sales.

Anyone know the festival hall? Are the stalls well sloped? I'm small and if everyone stands (hopefully!) I won't see a thing if I get tallest man in the world or lady with the biggest hair in front .... which always happens Its put me off the rear stalls which are best available. Might try for balcony.

I saw Steven Wilson at the RFH last year - as I remember it was quite sloped - mind you we didn't stand at that one!  I'm 5'9" and still manage to always get the biggest person in the world standing in front of me!  (I haven't got big hair though for those behind me!)

I couldnt access the link yesterday due to being busy, just remembered (very tired!) and I got two tix at the Sage in Row E, but it did say in one bit that that was level 1 which would be rubbish but their rows run AA, BB etc, so I think I may be in the stalls??

Hope so, but either way I am fine about it, its a great venue with great sound.

But in my experience pre-sales are getting to be a farce with so many different avenues to access them, often the fan clubs are the worst ones, but the frenz ones are usually pretty good.
