When thinking of Neil's falsetto, Drive Home came to me immediately. Drive Home is well worth an admission to the Rain soundtrack. The instrumental only beginning of the song with piano and drums (brushes and cymbals), which lasts almost 2 minutes, is pure elegance. It's integrity stands up, remindful of Vince Guaraldi Trio's Christmas masterpiece "Christmas Time is Here". Drive Home's melancholy, like many of Neil's best, drips delicately on a tightrope between sweet and sour. The verses enter the fray and you know something terrible has or will happen, but there is still hope, a desperate hope. It is beautiful despair.
