Not posted here before, although been reading for years. I've joined up to share a blog I recently wrote about Crowded House, and Neil's writing in general.
I was getting frustrated with telling people I like Crowded House and them breaking into 'everywhere you go, always take the weather with you!' But not knowing any of the other stuff. I don't mean that in a snobby, elitest way. There are plenty of bands who I only really like one song by, whilst the rest of their catalogue doesn't do a great deal for me (The Rolling Stones, for example), but there's something earthy, magical, strange and incredibly human at the heart of Neil Finn and Crowded House. It's an impossible task, but I wanted to try and put that into words.
