Oh you betcha I'll be there! :-) I've already sent an email to my boss, asking for that Friday off.

I'm going to be in LA this Saturday during the onsale and I don't know if I'll have good Internet access or not. I've put a call out to my friends, asking for assistance with tickets. If I can get online I'll try to get several tickets and offer up the extras here.
I really want to be there too. I can take the day off as I work as a temp and choose my days off. My only fear is that I will have a stupid court date that day.

I need to ask my bros and sisters if any of them want to attend. If so, I will have them purchase tickets.

Otherwise I would love to be able to purchase two from you.

I am sure Mark in SD will be going to this one also!

You're welcome! It was all I could do to keep myself from shouting with glee when I followed the link. (I'm at work in a quiet computer lab, so cries of happiness would attract unwanted attention!) Then I popped in over here and didn't find a mention of it, so I'm tickled to be offering up new news as a newbie. :-D
PM'd you, Mark.

My guess for gig #3: Largo the Thursday or Saturday of that weekend. I think I'm actually going to try to get down to LA Thursday afternoon/evening in case something happens that night.

This will be my first time seeing a Finn of any kind, so bear with me if my excitement gets to be too much at times. ;-)
I have been waiting years for this. Saw the original lineup in San Diego when the first album came out - They were the opening act for Bruce Hornsby and The Range and they definitely were the better act. Saw them again later that year in the OC only they were the opening act and touring with Paul Kelly and the Messengers. Since then I saw Neil a couple of years back at 4th & B in San Diego and the Finn Brothers at the Belly Up. Neil seems to like San Diego so maybe we can get an early gig down here somewhere. Either way looks like a road trip to Pomona.. Big Grin

You saw Neil at the 4th and B in SD? I used to walk past that everyday on my way to and from work. I worked at 3rd and B across from the theater where the Opera performs. I worked for SD Opera at the time.

I always dreamed of seeing someone Finn related there but that was in 96 to 97 when no one was touring. Frowner

Steve W--I don't understand why you suggest going to a retail location if their servers crash? Did you mean you suggest NOT going to one? I will buy online as usual. Been doing that for years.

To clarify, I'm speaking of Ticketmaster.com, not the retail outlets. I hope everyone get tickets. Smiler

Where shall we have pre-show drinks?

Thanks for that clarification. I have yet to have a problem getting tickets online but there is always a first. I am usually buying tickets for the Wiggles or Disney on Ice lately though so haven't done a real concert in a while.

I hope we all get tickets too! And we should definitely all meet up somewhere. Adult conversation is good....

This one is going to be a stressfull. It's a must have ticket for me, I never miss Neil or C.H.! I recommend having a ticketmaster account set up before the tickets go onsale. That way you can eliminate making a mistake typing in address or credit card information in the frenzy of the moment. You can also have yourself logged on to ticketmaster the whole time. Get on early and keep refreshing the main page until you see the tickets on sale. Good luck to all of us!

I think things will be firmed up a lot sooner than that. They can't wait that long to book east coast gigs. There are too many of those houses that need the advanced billing to get out promotion and to make sure that they can fit the band in with their schedule.

At least that is what I am hoping.

But right now my original prediction of sweeping east across the country from Coachella in May sounds like a good bet.

(Keeping his fingers crossed)

Ahhh, with this post I made it to "Slave to Ambition". Wow, now that I am here I will have to check and see if tension is my permanent condition.

I just got off Ticketmaster...order confirmed...6 tickets for Pomona on the 27th....Are we there yet?????

I bought more tickets than I will probably need so I will let any of you Crowdies out there know in the next week or so if I have any extra tickets. Not looking to make a profit at all, I will just pass them along for what I paid (plus Ticketmaster fees of course).

Anyone else going up from the San Diego area?? Big Grin

ok, the review by Aly D. (second one down) cracks me up! I sent off an email to the Glass House (email addy previously posted by jentwo - thank you!) a couple of days ago and got the word that it is 1) all-ages and 2) approx. a 15 minute drive from the Claremont Colleges (for what it's worth...)
