I'm thinking the way this might end up working is to have a "Best of the Finn Brothers" DVD, so you get Tim's, plus Neil's (even if there wouldn't be as many), plus the stuff from Everyone Is Here, and Finn, if there were any. It would be less complicated to a point because in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K., all the Tim/Neil/Finn Bros. albums have been on some label in the EMI group, except Escapade. Even if the DVD had to leave the Escapade material out, a club release could pull those few together.

This would leave the U.S. out in the cold — but, hey, if you got that PAL player for the Split Enz DVD . . .

EMI bought out Virgin in 1992/3.

With regard to the Escapade material. I think, and I may be wrong, that Sony(BMG) owns that in Europe. In the context of a big project like a Finn Brothers collective DVD - It wouldn't be prohibitively expensive to license out one or two videos. I think A&M had Escapade in the US.
Virgin licensed most of the Rolling Stones 40 Licks CD1 from ABKCO - Majors have been known to licence from other majors depending on the project, and what the cost is in relation to what they already have.

Don't you think that things are better all round seeing as how we DON'T know TF's private E-Mail? Can you just imagine how much crap he would recieve on a daily basis if fans DID know it? Roll Eyes
I had never heard that Kazzie. My worry when they say that is that they then choose not to include the video's of songs they didn't like into general releases. So the fans miss out Frowner

I know we have yet to even get the nod for a DVD, but I hope Tim would just let them run with it and include anything and everything that its possible to include Smiler
I hope so too, Texas Rose. There is a lot to like with Big Canoe. Here's hoping, if a DVD ever does eventuate that he wouldn't totally ignore it completely.

I'm trying to remember where I heard/read the interview. I vaguely recall him saying that he doesn't do anything from that album in his shows. Wish I could recall where it was from...... Roll Eyes
A best of dvd would be fantastic,I have the Enz video 72-92 which I bought In Sydney in 1993,it squeaks now,so I don't play it a lot!!
As regards to Tim's e-mail address, glad it is not available as I would bombard him all the time, dinner for two Tim,my husband is glad this is not the case as he refers to Tim as an old man!!!

The funny thing is though, at the show at Enmore he played nothing from Escapade either. And that was his most comercially sucsessful album! I wanted him to play Growing Pains, or Made My Day or AT LEAST Fraction Too Much Friction but no luck!
You think he might be embaressed by that album too?
Escapade was more pop than a poppy on Rememberance day!
I love that album, you sing-a-long to everything on that one. Could be the high notes? But then he can change the arrangements, its his to tinker with.
I'd love to hear Made My Day too, or Fraction, but then What You've Done, hasn't got a show either. arghhhhhhhhhh Killer film clip though, total Tim.
