ok well the only other 'egg' I've found is 'know your kiwi's'

here's how to find it...

on the main menu click on enz in pictures. whe you get into that try to click on the little pink badge thing with noel crombie on it. it'ss open automatically pretty much. there you go. I hope that helps some of you as I know how frustrating it can be to find these things.

speaking of 'things' can someone please tell me where to find it!!!! I still can't find it. is it the little green badge thing on the last clpz page which actually says things or is it something else? help me !
I finally got my very own copy of the Enz DVD yesterday. To begin with, I felt a wee bit guilty about splashing out NZ$40, especially as I don't have my own DVD player. However, since the DVD is selling like hotcakes, I decided "yeah, why not?". First impressions of my first-ever DVD? WOW!!! This thing is fantastic. It's hard to pick out one particular favourite feature, as the whole package is great. Despite having had limitations on what could be licenced for use on the DVD and also time restraints on some of what was used, all of the Enz's many bases are covered. I was impressed with the "Live" section...a great cross-section of classic Enz live footage. The 'Sight & SOund' stuff looks A-1 quality; the 'Enz With A Bang' feature brought some laughs, especially from the antics of the guys on the tour bus and Mr. Hester, lol. So great to have the Anniversary tour clip...brings back so many great memories for me an in instant. The videoclips look brand-spanking and in some cases, the remastered audio seems to eclipse that of even from the Spellbound and History Never Repeats albums. 'Late Last Night' has a real late night, smoky, supper-club jazz look about it with the use of sepia film. Very classy. A great selection of Enz clips and the scant few that were omitted don't detract from the overall coherence. Of the hidden features, I cracked up at the "Get To Know Your Kiwis" part, with the guys giving some sh*t to the interviewer. Classic. I'm so pleased to have 'Spellbound' on an official release at last. There's so much more I could say about this, but even better, get a copy all you fans who don't have a copy yet. This DVD is an absolutely fabulous visual record of the Enz and is an essential purchase for any fan or even just casual DVD collectors. Thank you and congratulations to everyone involved in the production of this DVD, especially Peter Green. Bravo. You have succeeded admirably.
Hey Semi/Gav
you should do our PR.......what can I say glad you enjoyed it (:
I'm about 7.5/10 for it......maybe 8 on a good day and knowing our limitations.
I would of enjoyed a few more pieces, if only we had the money, good quality masters to work from.
1/ would of loved 2 tracks from Wellington Town hall or the whole special....I love that Frenzy period.
2/ to go back in time and film the /FinnJudd lineup and have some 75 Enz live ind ecent qty.
3/ the other tracks from Site & Sound $$$$$$
4/ Get every member in a room and interview them.....at one stage Neil suggested get a few Enz members ina room and make them watch the videos and film them commenting...it just became too hard to do though and costly...
5/ have it available in NTSC on the day of release......
But apart from that, the 15+ or so emails we have received every day makes up for the other2/10 points that you guys are overall happy. Imagine if it was just the clips!!!!!!!
PG
Thanks, Peter. You're the man. This morning before I came to work, I just couldn't resist putting on the DVD just to watch that hilarious "GTK" feature. So funny! I love Phil's response. It's a shame that there is so little footage remaining from the pre-Dizrythmia period. I feel that the Mental Notes line-up is the quintessential, classic incarnation of the Enz. One thing more I will say about this DVD is that it only fires one's desire for more Enz footage. You can't get too much of a good thing! *Fingers crossed* for a volume 2. Big Grin
if anyone is still looking for 'things' heres how 2 find it...

go to the last clipz page. go to message to my girl but DON'T CLICK ON IT. when you get there just move the cursor thing on you dvd remote so it goes right. the 'things' badge thing will light up green. then you just select it and away you go.

couldn't be easier...but it took me 2 weeks to work out how to get it...

enjoy!

Woooo (and indeed) hoooooo!!!! Big Grin

My copy finally arrived today, here in Japan...

AND IT WORKS ON MY DVD PLAYER Big Grin
(Japan is NTSC like the US, but my DVD player is an export multi-region thing bought in Tokyo's electronics district Wink )

Man, I'm happy.

And is it just me, or does Tim look a bit like Angel from Buffy in the 'Things' clip?...
Just got my DVD last Friday and I have to echo SD's comments - considering the budget they had to work with this is a top class effort. The Enz were a band with distinct phases which would have been difficult to capture given the fact that footage was hard to find and/or too expensive to use. But somehow the DVD pulls it all off - a good representation of all the band was about.

I have a question about the Late Last Night clip - was the sepia used to "hide" tape damage? Because it seems sort of haphazard in the way it was used and my old VCR copy was definitely all in colour. Also, the original clip used the NZ single version, the DVD version uses the Aus version (which is the version on every available CD release). It seems very slightly out of sync at times but I'm sure most people wouldn't notice.

Also, for the NTSC people out there - I got mine to work by installing a DVD ROM drive in my computer which cost me $40 new. That and WinDVD which cost me $5 on ebay. Suddenly I can watch NTSC DVD's - yay!
