Hey guys, just thought I'd share this article that was in todays Herald Sun for those who won't get it.
Former Crowded House frontman Neil Finn has come to the rescue of one of late bandmate Paul Hester's pet dogs.
The drummer was seen walking his 2 dogs in Elsternwick Park in Elwood on March 26, the night he killed himself.
Since Hester's death, the Sunday Herald Sun has had hundreds of calls from fans offering to adopt the dogs and a cat.
"I can tell you that Neil Finn asked which of Hessie's animals was the oldest and I told him that it was Lozzie, a kelpie cross with bad arthritis" said Hester's pal Peter Green. "Neil said he would take the dog in and fly it to his property near Auckland."
Mr Green said Hesters pure breed beagle Polly would live with former Crowded House sound engineer Billy Cullen and his wife in Sydney.
"Wednesday, the cat, will be going to Crowded House's moniter man Ben Shapiro, and let me assure you all these animals are going to be spoilt big time."
There was no word about Crowded House being inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame this year, Mr Green said.
Mark Pope, the awards producer said:"There is no doubt Paul Hester will be acknowledged at this years event."
(I should hope so, taking into account all Paul has contributed to and done for the Australian Music Industry over so many years.)
The City of Port Philip is also set to honour Hester with a memorial following requests from locals. - Paul Stewart.
Nice to know his pets will be loved by those who loved him so much.
