This is brilliant, what a fantastic gift for those of us who couldn't get to Sydney. Can't wait!
Am I right in assuming that 7:40pm time slot is Sydney local time (AEDST)?
Okay. It seems that some fans outside of Australia cannot access the previews on the ABC TV FB page.
The Australian Federal Govt had a crack down recently on illegal online streaming & it seems that maybe our proper TV streams have gotten caught in the mix. Either that or there's a distribution licencing issue.
Please Please Please!!!! Someone record this for those of us in other parts of the world who cannot be there!!!!!
Correct 7.40 PM Sydney time. Please don't panic re: International viewing, it takes time but we are all working on it- hopefully with a happy result for you all- still early days, lots more news closer to the show. Hang in there.

I'm sure it will be recorded by many.
This will be great. I am going to the Thursday show, and was going to listen nearby to the other 3 nights. Now I can go to 1, listen to the next 2 and watch the last one at the hotel. Going to be a great weekend.
I assume there will be a dvd release in the future?
Hopefully!!!
Hopefully they'll replay it when ABC finally goes HD in December!
It will be recorded and appear somewhere for download
I have a dilemma regarding this. I will be taping the show, but I wanted to watch it live (I'm in WA), I have a Vast box that allows me to watch ABC from eastern states via satellite, it also has a very good quality stream of Double J, which I want to record, but I can't watch ABC NSW and record Double J at the same time. Is anyone else planning to record the double j stream?
I may be out of line, but is there anyone that can direct me to a source where I can view this broadcast from The Netherlands? I could access the stream here but it was a Sundaymorning and I was busy and hardly able to watch it: only catched a couple of minutes (the last chords of Nails in My Feet - which kind of like is my all time favourite CH song!). Found some vids of individual songs on Youtube and I know it's all probably not very legal, but if anyone can help me out I'd be very obliged. Thanks!
It's on Jane Music
What is Jane music?
Google it if you haven't already
I've seen much of the broadcast and so far, Neil sounds exceptionally good, very little difference from the old days. I was a little critical of him in the webcast but I've heard almost none of those issues in the final encore show (exception being the shouted ending to Whispers and Moans...pretty rough). Some things, like the high notes of When You Come, he'll probably never be able to rip into with the same reckless abandon as he did when he was younger...but he can still totally pull it off, it's just a different approach now.
Anyway, just felt the need to say I'm happy to be wrong, Neil can still sing remarkably close to his young self.
And let's not forget Nick, who was stomping around and bobbing his mop-top like he was 25!
I finally saw this show via YouTube. Great performance...especially by Neil and Mark Hart. Great guitar performance. Mark is quite good. The big thing that was the highlight is Neil’s guitar playing. Quite incredible. I am still confused why he plays this way, and plays quite Rockin, but doesn’t translate that in the recordings. He often said that Neil Young is one of his favorites too...I suspect for the raw guitar playing (at least big part of it) so that should be even more reason why Neil should do such a raw album focusing on guitar. I think Daniel Lanois would bring this out of him and the band.

I thought he played quite rockin and raw on Together Alone album? Do you think? Obviously Mark Hart was rocking on that album too.
Otherwise, perhaps we don't hear the his raw guitar playing on the album because of producing, mixing, engineering... or perhaps Neil doesn't think the songs on the album shouldn't get the raw guitar deal.
While I agree that I would like some more of this energy in their recent and current recordings, I couldn't think of a better compliment to extend to any artist by saying their music is more explosive and exciting in a live setting.
Perhaps that's all part of the design
I remember the first time I heard a tape of Crowded House playing live. I could not believe how close to the recordings it sounded.
There's just a higher standard and I've always thought that's what defines what we keep coming back for.
