4. Try Whistling This/Spirit if the Stairs. Hard to decide, and feels like cheating cause I partly consider Spirit of the Stairs as CH song, but Neil solo definitely improved it... and when I looking at it, noticed that even 2 of 5 songs wasnt even on official releases...so much about whoever choosed songs for official albums...

Wow ... this is nearly impossible but here goes in no particular order ... and I can't keep it to four songs ... sorry but I couldn't narrow it past the top ten. Songs are posted below ... 1. Lullaby Requiem (may be my favorite Neil Finn song period) 2. Guiding Star (affects me deeply every time I hear it) 3. Blue Hotel (obscure song but brilliant ... oh so brilliant) 4. I tried but couldn’t do it... Best I can do is top 4 in no order (as I listen to his solo albums right now). This song didn't wow me the first time, I forgot about it for a couple of years until playing it just the other day. It's a gorgeous song. I have a love/hate relationship with the production on One Nil. This is one of the high points. "Feel like an accident waking up Under a bus with my fingers crossed Now is the time we could make it up" This part sounds amazing.

Sinner (Neil’s first ever solo song I heard) I know different (Neil’s last solo song I heard) In My Blood (under appreciated song) Addicted (watched/heard Neil practice this many times at a sound check and couldn’t get it right BUT that night at the concert he hit every note)

Yesterday online, an EP was released by Tim Finn… two new versions of Six Months in a Leaky Boat, titled: “Ono Marama Takerehāia-Ngawiri (Chill Mix] / Six Months In A Leaky Boat ("Aotearoa" 2022 Remix)”. The first was a te reo version of Six Months in a Leaky Boat, and the second was a re-recording of the original (with correct pronunciation of ‘Aotearoa’). It's not a money grab. He could have retired decades ago and live very comfortably from royalties from past hit albums with Enz, Finn Brothers, Crowdies Woodface. Escapade and Imaginary Kingdom were hit albums worldwide. All his solo albums are hits in NZ and Aussie. If all Tim cared about was money he wouldn't have taken a ten year break from studio albums and regular touring to focus on musicals and watch his kids grow up. I think it’s just a money grab. Tim’s career is pretty much over with the exception of possible reunions. Forenzics was a bomb both critically and financially here in the US. He needs to survive on royalties from Enz and other things he did with Neil. Sad.

What silly comments. How can this even be a money grab, when the songs are available online? I'd say Tim has reached a point in his life where he gives a rat's *** about sales or hits. Also wondering on which information you are basing your comments about the Forenzics album. When do you reckon a records "bombs"? Also everything Jeremy says +1.

Wow… just wow…. There is absolutely nothing meant to be commercial about this. It’s more about the promotion of Te Reo (the Maori language in NZ). I love what Tim is doing at the moment - it’s all about what he enjoys - it’s not about making a buck. I’m sure he doesn’t care about commercial success these days. The "Aotearoa" 2022 Remix is credited to Split Enz on the online single release. Is this a foretaste of a possible Time And Tide remix. Sounds great. The "Aotearoa" bit has been punched into the original track.
