The thing is, how would such a collection be compiled? A great many tracks were only released in the UK, and some were exclusive to other territories. So, would a box be based on UK singles, Aussie singles or a hybrid? Would it be vinyl only (pointless IMO) or make use of the multiple formats that were issued on CD in the 1990s?
A tricky one . I started collecting the singles and had a list ( from somewhere) to check off from.I got them all save Better Be Home Soon which at that time was priced at £20.. far too much so I didn't bother. Most of the "singles" as you know were "doubles" with alternative "B" sides of live tracks and of course we have the special World Where You Live single which after 8 years or so shatters to small pieces without warning and Locked Out which becomes covered in some sort of plastic...
I have a huge collection of Crowded House CDs and DVDs for sale, including singles, live albums, limited editions of the regular albums and some rarities. Includes Split Enz, Finn Brothers and more. Around 100 CDs. Everything here is an official release. I‘ll even throw in some vintage CH tour shirts, never worn. Would love to sell these to an NZ-based buyer if possible, due to the weight and cost of shipping - please PM me for details if you’re interested. Many thanks for reading! - Matt
I was looking at a video of the Manic Street Preacher's complete singles box set: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqJ7k6xkNDM Am I the only one who would love to see something like this for Crowded House? It would be a lovely item for a collection.
