Before and After is early 90s Tim. There are a few trite moments and simple rhymes, but it covers a lot of good ground and includes "Persuasion", co-penned by Richard Thompson (middle 8 by Neil); one of his better singles imho. Say it is So was done with Wilco I understand, around 2000. It's got some grunge moments and has "Death of a Popular Song", which I still enjoy. I saw Tim on that tour and it was my first Finn show. Feeding the Gods is one of my favorite albums of all time. But you have to prepared to rock out because it's a very energetic romp. After that, Say It Is So is my next favorite. Those two albums make a great one-two punch from the early aughts.
