Well, are you in the UK? Or is this the only way you can get them? What IS the UK price? Nevermind, forget all that. Totally worth it.

Re: Opinion required: Deluxe Edition
So Crowded House-Together Alone are about 14 pounds each. Afterglow is 10 pounds. Time on Earth is 16 pounds. Intriguer is 5 pounds.

Re: Opinion required: Deluxe Edition
Great bargain on Intriguer. Some terrific tracks on the bonus. All of them do, really, though the first three have mostly demo/live versions of the album tracks, as opposed to "new" songs (outtakes). If you are a massive Crowdie, you won't be disappointed. Some of the real audiophiles on the board say the remastering of the original albums appealed to them; I can't tell much difference, as I mostly listen in my somewhat noisy truck, but I have enjoyed the bonus discs immensely. If the price...

Re: Fang radio thurs / fri
No, he didn't Byrds Talk to Me ... it ended after " ... All I want is to be dancing round in your light With the colours that you choose When you become a recluse." "You play like a child, and then you edit like an adult. That's' what the secret is " NEIL FINN

Together Alone Font
Hello All, haere mai etc... I've recently been working on crudely replicating the font from Together Alone (the one written on the car). What I've done so far basically covers the entire alphabet with most letters having a second version to mix up the consistency and make it look less... repetitive, they are all hand drawn characters replicated from/based around Nick Seymour's original artwork. The finished product looks pretty nice. I'm also working on expanding it to include Maori symbols...

You could put it on wetransfer and share the link ... ? It would be for one week only, but the dedicated fans here would spot it.

Can you name that hidden music?
1) While waiting on Needle Mythology's compact disc version of "Finn", pulled out my Parlophone original booklet and answered part of my question "Who is the choir at the beginning of 'Paradise'?" i see thanks to the Avarua Presbyterian choir. Does anyone know any further details about this? Is the sample available on its' own somewhere? 2) In "Four Seasons In One Day" at roughly 1:10 what sounds like a choir of children begin singing in the background. i've reviewed my deluxe edition and...

Re: Can you name that hidden music?
Mr. A, it's an honor and you are so kind to take a moment and point me to the audio document which answers my question. Of the many musics i've enjoyed that Mr. Blake has had a hand in, i will send good thoughts his way each time "Four Seasons" plays in my mind from now on. There's a video i found on YouTube titled "Traditional Gospel Singing of Rarotonga-Cook Islands Music" which reminds me of the intro to "Paradise". And i realized while watching and listening that it's very much cousin to...

I’m delighted to hear you’ve been getting into SJD and Bic Runga. Coincidentally, both of them have recently announced NZ tours after a long time off the road.

Re: Can you name that hidden music?
I believe the choir on Finn was recorded on location by the Finns themselves, so it’s not commercially released. The origin of the choir on Four Seasons In One Day was unknown to me until I heard the multitrack a few years ago. That story is told in RNZ’s Making of Woodface Part 2: https://www.rnz.co.nz/national...se-s-woodface-part-2

Re: Can you name that hidden music?
The ultimate thing to find is what the Finns are playing at the start of Kiss the Road Of Rarotonga. Also, slightly unrelated but I’ve always loved the bit in haul away when a section of ‘Split Ends’ plays in the background of the section where Tim says he’s lost friends along the way (not in a death sense, more, no longer friends) and always think this is a direct reference to Phil

Isn't the end of a Dave Dobbyn song at the beginning of Kiss the Road?

Re: Can you name that hidden music?
Dave Dobbyn plays bass on Kiss the road, but you probably know that. I think it’s just a random sequence of chords to resemble the last bit of a live performance. The audience noise on the other hand could be from a genuine live performance (by anyone...). Just my assumption.
