Re: True Colours vinyl with PINK sleeve
FYI I have three different variations of the pink True Colours - 1 has orange triangles 2. has yellow triangles 3. black triangles I assume the latter one must have been a printing error, and there must have been a small number done like this. Interestingly it is missing the L37167 number on top rear right, though it's present on the spine like the others. Not for sale but just in case this is news as to what's out there!

Oooh, do you have pics? I'd love to see the possible printing error! Do you have all of the colours?

Re: True Colours vinyl with PINK sleeve
Does anybody know for sure, just how many different colour combos there are? There seem to be more out there than I thought. I wasn't aware a pink with black triangles - very cool if that is a printing error. There won't be many of them! Some of the shades seem quite different too - I'm not sure if it has been caused by some colour fading over the years, if some covers just came out of the printers slightly different, or if it was intended. I would be keen to know how many different colour...

I think it's safe to say a whole lot of us are very VERY jealous of that collection! Do you have them on display somewhere?

I too would be fascinated to see pictures of those pink covers. You should be able to upload photos to the Facebook page, by clicking on the icon at the top of the page, then 'sharing'....perhaps that would work?

Re: Crowded House Very Very Best Orange Vinyl
I received the orange vinyl the other day and thought it sounded pretty decent. Some light clicks and pops between tracks but overall good sonics with no distortion during tracks. I did give it a good washing because there was some factory scum on side four. But after that it played fine. Maybe you got a bum pressing?

Crowded House Very Very Best Orange Vinyl
Hello everyone, and sorry for my English. I bought this beautiful edition a few days ago. I have all Crowded House albums and singles on CD, and some on vinyl, and my expectations were very high. Orange vinyls are beautiful, however, the sound is very poor. I think some CDs sound better, it has some background noise and the C side is completely saturated. It's a beautiful vinyl for my collection, but I don't think I'll listen to it again. My question is: Is my copy defective? I would like to...

True Colours vinyl with PINK sleeve
Hi there! I know this is probably a long shot, but I'm looking for the vinyl of "True Colours" with the pink sleeve if anyone has a copy to sell? The quality of the vinyl itself isn't of great concern (I have a copy that I can play already); I'm looking for one with a sleeve in excellent condition that I can frame. It's the only one I need to complete my collection of TC album sleeves! If anyone has a copy they are willing to part with, please let me know!

They Will Have Their Way vinyl
Haven't seen anyone post about this, but I think the recent vinyl release of They Will Have Their Way is very well done. I'm not a huge vinyl collector, but I do get the Finn releases. So I splurged to import this vinyl from Australia to the US. They couldn't fit everything on to two records, so someone picked what they thought was the best selections from the She/He/They will have Her/His/Their Way albums. For the most part, I agree with the selections, though there are 4 songs repeated...

Re: They Will Have Their Way vinyl
The dropped recordings you mentioned are all NZ artists, so maybe they wanted all Australian artists for the Australian market.

Re: They Will Have Their Way vinyl
That makes sense. I figured the popularity of the artists in Australia played a role in the song selection. Most of these artists have zero name recognition in the US, so I really lack context for those decisions.

Tim & Phil Manzanera on vinyl!
Just was browsing one of my favorite record shops and was pleasantly surprised finding out the announcement of a 3LP from Tim & Phil Manzanera ., due to be released on October 27 (although Amazon mentions November 24 as the release date). I can't find more details on the release, based on the tracklist it combines Caught By The Heart and The Ghost Of Santiago with a 5 track bonus disc. Such great news to be able to another piece of Tim music on vinyl to my collection!

Re: Tim & Phil Manzanera on vinyl!
Can you buy the CD with the five tracks separately. I've got the two Finn/Manzanera albums on CD. This is kinda cheeky really. They could've easily fitted these extra five songs across the two albums on the CD releases.

Re: Tim & Phil Manzanera on vinyl!
Just received this as a birthday present. It is a very nice package! Three records with a distinct visual style bundles in a box. Was not a big fan of the albums when streaming them, but often this changes when listening on vinyl.

Re: Tim & Phil Manzanera on vinyl!
I was happy to find the five new songs available on TimFinnMusic under the release title "Viento en Popa". "Hello Fellow Travellers" is again a reworking of Tim's classic melody which first came into being as a Nineez demo, and then metamorphosed into "Am I Big Enough", "The Lullaby of Lonely Lions", and "Rest".

I have Rest, of course, but where could one find the other two?

Re: Tim & Phil Manzanera on vinyl!
Strange to believe but Jane Maddick ("Am I Big Enough") is still available on the same link where I uploaded ten years ago: https://clyp.it/lhogb12s . "The Lullaby of Lonely Lions" was among the tales for children by Anna Paquin for which Tim wrote the music. The CD's title was The Magnificent Nose .

Re: Tim & Phil Manzanera on vinyl!
Which Nineez demo had the "Hello Fellow Travellers" melody? The "Viento en Popa" EP is available for download on iTunes. "Smooth Sailing" on the vinyl version is also called "Viento en Popa". Apparently these tracks were left over from the original sessions, but completed in 2023. Very pleasant.

True - although I'm not sure where Neil gets the "Disembodied Voices" link to?
