Yeah, especially when you people get Neil touring all year... and One All - yep, it must be a real shame . Re: Bootlegs, Taboo????
Without making this any sort of official comment as I always prefer to leave stuff like that up to Neil, all of us have always been fine about fans swapping live material. The main thing has always been to keep it subtle. The times when we will get heavy (put on my Docs now) is when someone takes full advantage of fans. Example: a few years back (no names please) a club member who was one of the first Life members got a copy of "stage talk" with his kit (we included them in a lot, just as a...

I am referring mostly to his solo work, although can think of a couple CH examples where I felt this was the case. There's this guy at my old church named Gordon Lewis, in his late 50's, who looks EXACTLY like Neil. In fact, I teased him about it often and even brought in a photo of Neil to show him and his wife...they were very amused by the resemblance. I had thought tho, Julie, if anyone ever made a movie about the life of the Finn brothers, you'd HAVE to cast Ralph Fiennes (as the "current" and slightly younger Neil). Fair enough. I can accept your majority very negative opinions Frenz. But IMHHO we should be encouraging MORE artists to cover Finn songs -as if 2 give them more exposure. Personally I would take it as a compliment if any1 covered my song, no matter who or what genre artist does it. Remember these/any artists spend their whole life working hard on their craft. Well, I absolutely HATE the music of Abba and think of them as nothing more than writers of catchy, throwaway bubblegum pop. I don't think they excelled as musicians at all - songwriters and arrangers with an acute ability to write a hit single, maybe yes. You can't argue with their success though - they definitely recognised what people wanted and hit the jackpot time after time.
