Re: Black and white True Colours

Yes it is plain black & white. As for the other colours it depends on how rare they are and of course the condition. You won't get any more than $50 these days for a mint copy of the hard to find colours below. The collecting bug has really slowed down in the last 10 years so the value has dropped. Only those items that have rarely been seen online like the Black & White True Colours or the Reject Cover from 1989 are only going to fetch decent prices or maybe #1 in the NZ Silver...

Black and white True Colours

FiFiona ·
I have one of the black and white True Colour album sleeves (no album in it). I brought it many years ago at the old Frenz of the Enz stall at Prahran Market in Melbourne. I'm not sure if I want to sell it, but am wondering if anyone knows what it might be worth, as I believe they didn't make many of them ?.

Even the 'rare' ones do still show up in places every now and again. The cover for the laser etched version is usually the Yellow & Red combination. I have seen the Lime Green & Pink on ebay once a few years ago. The Red/Green, Purple/Yellow & the Blue/Orange combinations seem to show up more often then the others.

It all depends on the condition. I saw one recently on EBay which was in Good to VG - at best and it sold for $700 (Aust $). It is just that it is extremely rare and it is the only one I have ever seen on EBay. So if you have one in Ex to Mint condition. I would expect you to get close to $1000. But you never know, you could also only get $300, I guess it comes down to who is watching it & who is willing to pay big $$$.

I agree with Enzboy. I think I also saw that recent black and white that went for $700, and its the only one I've ever seen on Ebay too. I guess the better the condition, the better the price.

Does anybody know for sure, just how many different colour combos there are? There seem to be more out there than I thought. I wasn't aware a pink with black triangles - very cool if that is a printing error. There won't be many of them! Some of the shades seem quite different too - I'm not sure if it has been caused by some colour fading over the years, if some covers just came out of the printers slightly different, or if it was intended. I would be keen to know how many different colour...

True Colours vinyl with PINK sleeve

Hi there! I know this is probably a long shot, but I'm looking for the vinyl of "True Colours" with the pink sleeve if anyone has a copy to sell? The quality of the vinyl itself isn't of great concern (I have a copy that I can play already); I'm looking for one with a sleeve in excellent condition that I can frame. It's the only one I need to complete my collection of TC album sleeves! If anyone has a copy they are willing to part with, please let me know!

FYI I have three different variations of the pink True Colours - 1 has orange triangles 2. has yellow triangles 3. black triangles I assume the latter one must have been a printing error, and there must have been a small number done like this. Interestingly it is missing the L37167 number on top rear right, though it's present on the spine like the others. Not for sale but just in case this is news as to what's out there!

I think it's safe to say a whole lot of us are very VERY jealous of that collection! Do you have them on display somewhere?
