Reply to "White Lies and Alibis - lyrics"

That's fair. I read back and I shouldn't have led with the definite assumption that this song is about what I said it was about. Of course it's open to interpretation and hearing the song again with the Shangri-La line (which I agree with and had to look up because I had no idea what it was) leaves multiple interpretations in mind...

That being said, I still think this song is a killer. I have not gotten as excited about a Finn song since Pour Le Monde and I believe this song has more depth. I haven't heard the 90 sec snippets so I don't have an opinion on them, but still, I cannot believe more people aren't as excited about this song as I seem to be... to me it's a breath of fresh air, something I've been hoping from Neil for a while... Maybe it's just me, but I'm writing this one down as a long time favourite.

edited to say: I became a Finn fan in 06 so the Pour Le Monde reference in anticipation weighs heavily for myself... I'm 26 now and this song resonates with me as much as any song released by Neil since I became a fan...

This song for me is worth the purchase of the new album... alone... You heard it here first, White Lies and Alibis, a fan favourite for all time...

this is what I've hoped for... this is what I've (unrightfully) expected...
