Ok, I work for Alzheimer's Australia and I'm an educator....I write a few courses and deliver courses to health care professionals and also family carers. I first heard this song not long after my Mother passed away and the tears came a plenty, even though she didn't have Alzheimer's. I ran a course today for the first time that we've written, the audience were the other educators who will be teaching the course. I mentioned that there was a beautiful song about Alzheimer's disease and my colleagues wanted to hear it, so I pulled out the trusty MP3 player, hooked up the speakers and played it. The room was silent and everyone commented on the lyrics and how meaningful they are. It is a beautiful song and it says so much that families and people with Dementia are unable to express.
