Reply to "Setlist and/or Rehearsal Songs"

Based on promotional performances and interviews to date this portion of the Fleetwood Mac set has potentially been revealed so far:

The Chain
Gypsy
Second Hand News
Little Lies
Gold Dust Woman
Don't Stop
Free Fallin'
Don't Dream It's Over
Oh Well (Part 1)
Dreams

As much as they've mentioned 3 hour sets, and I hope it's true - I'd guess this will be closer to half of the show.

It's mildly surprising "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" doesn't appear to be the nod to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - it was a duet with Stevie Nicks, with Mike Campbell as co-writer. "Free Fallin'" is a Jeff Lynne co-write, but clearly the populist winner, as is "Don't Dream It's Over".

It's SO odd to think that as successful as it's been here and so many years have passed since it's release, this week is most likely the first time "Don't Dream It's Over" will be sung by Neil in an arena in the U.S. ?!?!

It will be interesting to see if the Fleetwood Mac audience are appreciative or dismissive of the new members receiving a spotlight in the show. It seems the No Lindsey, No Fleetwood Mac portion of the fan base have spoken, but there's a sizable portion who have tickets, haven't been vocal and will yet judge the show on it's merits.

Staples like "Rhiannon" are bound to be in the set list too, but it will be interesting to see which pre-Buckingham/Nicks songs other than "Oh Well" make the cut.

"Oh Well (Part 1)" is actually one of the least bluesy Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac singles - it was often performed excellently on the second-last Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers tour a few years back (maybe that's why Neil is demurring) and it will be interesting to see Mike Campbell own it (vocals AND lead guitar) - I've only seen him sing lead once in decades. His guitar playing on it was fantastic.

Roll on the two San Francisco Bay Area shows next month!
