At first I didn't much care for Inside Out -- my response was much the same as Silent Stream's, and I guess part of me cringed too at what I perceived to be the four-nice-middle-aged-men-trying-to-rawk-out factor. Somehow it felt like the local parish vicar and his wife turning up to pogo in the mosh pit at a Nine Inch Nails gig.

But the song is an ear-worm, all right -- it has insinuated itself into my nervous system in a way that no other from Intriguer (except perhaps for Isolation) has. I love the seemingly artless rhythm and lead guitar work, I love the transition into the "move me into silence" sequence, and I particularly love the mock-Englebert Humperdinck Ten Guitars swagger of it all.
