I did notice that they fixed Neil's bum note toward the end of "You Can Put Your Shoes Under My Bed". His mistake there during the live performance completely undercut the emotional climax of the song. Strange that they didn't feel the need to correct the mistakes on "Message to My Girl". I guess you could just assume that those bum notes are just Neil trying to "jazz up" the song.
But there is a difference between Neil accidentally hitting the wrong notes and Paul Kelly just plain old not being capable of performing the Maori strum on acoustic guitar. To be fair, you do have to practice it quite a bit and maybe he didn't have time. Still, I think it was a misjudgement to perform the songs that way and even worse to actually release them.
