Finn Lyrics Interpretation Manual

I'm sure you're all familiar with this PDF publication. It hasn't been added to since 2001. Apparently, Neil said something about how fans should be free to find their own interpretations of his lyrics and the author took this to mean he should stop, damn shame! I've had it for ages, but have only recently sat down and started to read thru it all. I am finding it quite addictive reading, especially when people disagree, interesting.
I must admit, having read the many interpretations of DDIO, I still haven't much of a clue what the song's about. I have sung it, took a bit of practice, as it sits around my break. I enjoyed singing it and people seemed to like hearing it. I just tried to sing every sentence the same way as I would speak it, whether or not they made any sense following each other.
For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's here:

I would liken you

To a night without stars

Were it not for your eyes

To a sleep without dreams

Were it not for your songs (Langston Hughes)

What else is love for

But to leave you wanting more? (Tim Finn)
