Yes, yes, I'm sure I love it. But if I were out trying to entice the public to check out So. Pacific Radio Gothic, I wouldn't lead off with "Log Drums" or "Orange and Blue". I can't imagine 90% of people hearing "Divebomber" will then being interested in hearing the rest of the album. Very strange choice when there are clearly some amazing songs on the record. But Neil's always been a bit perverse and I'm sure there's a lot more promotion to come.
I like Divebomber but I would agree with you that it's not a good choice to drum up interest in the record. Neil doesn't seem very good at choosing leading singles. "Saturday Sun" was a dreadful choice that in my opinion killed Intriguer commercially, and "Don't Stop Now" was a pretty boring song to announce Crowded House's return. Divebomber is interesting but sounds like the least commercial song on the record.
