I didn't realize it back then, as he was "only the drummer for Crowded House", but Paul was an excellent drummer. His timing was way better than a lot of other drummers. He was described by some of the Aussie press as "Australia's Best Drummer" back at the time he passed away and I would have to agree. He never really took centre stage in the songs (despite his onstage antics) but really, he did have great timing and rhythm and use the right amount of muscle on the drums.
These last ten years have disappeared too quickly.
My only idea would be to play the heck out of his records and know that the rest of us are thinking about him too.
