Rainbow Warrior concert 1986

I couldn't find any previous mention of this on the forum....

Split Enz played the Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior benefit concert at Auckland's Mt. Smart Stadium on 22 April 1986. The show was a tribute to Greenpeace's ship Rainbow Warrior, which was bombed by French terrorists the previous year. Neil Young, Herbs and Dave Dobbyn also performed.

Did any forum members...

*Attend the show?
*Take photos?
*Write down the setlist?

I seem to recall seeing a photo in the original edition of the NZ rock 'n' roll history Stranded In Paradise book that showed the boys performing in the Enz With A Bang tour costumes.

They were actually agents of the French Government - terrorists yes, but officially sanctioned ones. Mad

Paul Crowther mixed this show and recorded it on cassette. I think Paul still has the whole thing but I haven't heard it. Eddie has some brief sections on one of his cassettes, which include:
I See Red
Pioneer
Six Months
Take A Walk
I Hope I Never
I Got You

Oddly enough Nigel just gave us a Tshirt from this show for the Tshirt archives.

It has ther Greenpeace logo on the front and lists all the artists and the venue on the back.

The Tshirts are the "stallion' brand so Eddie would of been amused!!!!!
