Are the tracks on the second Cd from "Out Of The Bag" ?
No they're from Auckland 2008.
Never been released before, right?
08- never been released. Plus I think there are some songs on disc #1 from different shows (new Plymouth etc) .
Enz back on OZ charts. LIVE, ALIVE OH debuts at #91 on the Top 500. Hoping for a bit of a jump next week while Jb stores restock. Thanks everyone. No NZ chart (yet).
Any idea yet of when this will be released outside of NZ or Aus.
I'd say on Aust-NZ release at this stage.
It's also at #5 on New Zealand Heat Seeker chart. So just outside Top 40.
I'm struggling to whip up any enthusiasm for a release half of which constitutes the THIRD release of the same material. I mean really, isn't this just a cash grab?
Nah it's just adding an Enz live cd back into the catalogue. It's 2017- you are seriously fooling yourself if you think a catalogue cd with no tour, no advertising , and no band is going to make bucket loads of cash, especially at $14.99 for two cd release.
It does however mean that new fans can get this, or those who missed out previously and don't want to get shafted on Ebay. Also keep in mind Paul that there is no written law that you have to buy this, don't want it, don't need it, don't buy it. But for those who do and are enjoying it - I'll never have a problem with that. Also, if it does happen to have some momentum, it may well lead to some other Enz releases. I still get a buzz to see the Enz on the charts after all this time.
I note that Eddie has reverted to the original "Anniversary" version of Hermit McDermitt (albeit remixed), rather than the alternate version used on ExtravagENZa.
Great to have a live version of "Carried Away" to the canon from the 2008 show. Final words from Tim at the end - "who knows when, but we'll see you again"...let's hope so!
Nice tight performance from the 2008 show. Tim is in fine voice.
Devil You Know on 08 disc is best version I've ever heard and this alone was worth price of import cd. Pure bliss...

I hadn't realised that Extravagenza was out of print. Surely, if the aim was to get a live CD back in print, just reissuing that would have done the trick. And, of course, I'm under no obligation to buy it. It just seems a shame to charge fans for the price of a double when only half the album is actually "new" material.
Oh with Eddie around there is no way it would be that simple *GRIN*. $14.99 isn't too bad - and I'm guessing but is CD#2 on iTunes as a single upload? (I haven't checked) ..that could be a cheaper alternative for those who just want it. If this catalogue release leads to other unreleased shows i'm always fine with that. ...
It's priced at less than a single CD inboxed both Aust and NZ which are the only places released. Not sure how one can fault that... and surely no one could accuse this of being a money grab?
