Fleetwood Mac (with Neil Finn) To Be on "CBS This Morning" on Wednesday April 25

I think Fleetwood Mac may play one Finn related song (and I'm sure they will pick an obscure one....possibly even a Split Enz one....Six Months might fit).  Come to think of it. One obscure Crowded House one and one Split Enz one would be great.  Just don't play Don't Dream anymore!  I like it but there are others that would fit better. (and Neil must be sick of it for the time being....)

The thing that bugs me a bit about this is the fact that there is a past of band bickering....and Stevie Nicks comes across pretty bad (and self centered)....so for that fact alone, surprised Neil would want to surround himself with that.  And also being a replacement after a sorta bad split.  Surprised he would join for this reason too.  That's why, I think it would be better to create his own supergroup (with the Petty guitarist, etc) and create new music with them.

I certainly see this as a huge payday for Neil and I don’t begrudge him the $$$. He’s come and done tours in small venues in the USA and he’s done it for the fans. Can’t be much money in those. Flying from NZ and paying band members to play in front of 1500??

Not the exact CBS link but someone filmed it off their tv and it was uploaded onto youtube.  Not bad for an old Nikon and tripod setup well done to Uncle Larry B

and here is the link for the rolling stone music now interview with Andy Greene

There's dozens of Finn penned songs that arguably fit in with the FM folk/rock/blues themes.

Neil's earned the right to do whatever he wants to.  In one sense, he's back to the Enz where Neil joins someone else's band.

Nicks, Fleetwood, the McVies know they have a ringer and arguably the best songwriter on the planet.  I actually hope they record together.  Why not?  It could work.  These are adaptable, professional musicians and artists.  The tour is largely approaching selling out in the presales in the US.

What impressed me was that FM was auditioning Neil on his VOICE.  We take for granted the wonderful voice this man has. He can craft a great song, and play it on many instruments. But to be judged by singing ability alone has to have been a special honor indeed. I'm looking forward to hearing how it all fleshes out.

Agreed. I took my 12-year old daughter to see Neil/Liam two nights ago and she said something really insightful.  She said that although he may look his age (ouch), he sings like a much younger man.  She said that his voice has a sweetness that belies his age.

Lucky girl. Wise, indeed!   I have a 9-/12 year old and I'm considering taking her to see Joe J.  Of course I'll take her to see a NF show if we ever have the chance

Last day of June: "that guy sounds just like McCartney", my Beatles-loving uncle thought.    There's a reason NF songs are so hard to sing!  Oh, for my voice back in college.  (Which still couldn't hold a candle to Neil)
