Methinks there were 10 combos released throughout the world... #1 red & green The 'definitive' combo for all formats. Also used for the A&M CD issue. #2 purple & yellow In Canada, a special 'Audiophile' issue features this cover with a wide gold border around the outside. #3 blue & orange 1-3 are the most common sleeves used throughout the world. #4 fluorescent yellow & pink #5 hot purple & burnt orange 4 & 5 were used on repressings in Australia (and possibly New...

I finally got my very own copy of the Enz DVD yesterday. To begin with, I felt a wee bit guilty about splashing out NZ$40, especially as I don't have my own DVD player. However, since the DVD is selling like hotcakes, I decided "yeah, why not?". First impressions of my first-ever DVD? WOW!!! This thing is fantastic. It's hard to pick out one particular favourite feature, as the whole package is great. Despite having had limitations on what could be licenced for use on the DVD and also time...

Re: The Instrumental

Yep, the track on Other Enz is the same Finn/Judd composition, but it's not a genuine Split Enz recording as such. It was released as the B-side of a 1980 single by Graham Brazier (ex Hello Sailor) and credited to "A Ripper Bunch of Blokes." The "blokes" who played on the recording included Mike Chunn, Eddie Rayner, Rob Gillies, and Mal Green. Part of the tune was later used in "I Wouldn't Dream of It" on True Colours .

Re: What Split Enz live material is available on cd?

Camus ·
I think that it's problems with the record company. Split Enz were/are with Mushroom, Crowded House with EMI/Capitol/Parlophone, EMI et al were happy for CH club CDs, presumably Mushroom have a problem. I'd also imagine that the recordings would need a fair ammount of work on them due to age, and this would all cost money. Having heard True Colours and Nightmare Stampede from Oddz and Enz on the tape of the concert it is obvious that Eddie Raynor spent a lot of time tweaking the sound, as...

Wow! Thanks for the explanation SSP, very good. Sinterklaas is a traditional feast here in the Netherlands and Belgium. It's been a tradition for at least 500 years and back then people from Africa were unseen here and Zwarte Piet was originally intended to be a helper of Sinterklaas (Saint Nicolas) and had to scare the children. If you had been naughty you had to come with Sinterklaas in his bag back to Spain, which was a very exotic and faraway place back then. Nowadays, of course things...

I have a Honda Civic. Her name is Charlotte and she's green (my favorite color). I think she fits me: short, curvy, not too flashy, reliable, and just a little sassy. I want a station wagon next. Something I can haul my crap around in but that doesn't take up a city block and use a tank of gas per day. I'd love to get a hybrid car. If they made a hybrid station wagon I'd be all over that. Plan to flop in the opposite direction your hair grows - if you usually part on one side, move it to the other side. Use a strong styling gel, and blow dry your hair upside down. When rightside up, spray hairspray on the roots while holding your hair up and gently dry. (you need some height before the flop starts) Neil's hair was really short on the sides and back, so you might want to go for a trim. The green jacket on Woodface has an unusually big floppy collar - it prob was custom-made...

Any Monty Python fan should chase down the script to "What the Stars Foretell," a sketch from the Flying Circus shows. It's two women reading their horoscopes to each other, and they are RIDICULOUS. Like one starts with "You have green scaly skin, a soft yellow underbelly, and a series of fin-like ridges down your spine."
